Ruden Way replaces a small existing bungalow close to Epsom Downs with a five-bedroom family home. The original house measured approximately 99 sq m (1,066 sq ft), with a constrained kitchen and limited social space. The completed house provides approximately 358 sq m (3,853 sq ft) of accommodation while remaining sympathetic to the scale and character of neighbouring properties.

The ground floor is organised around generous family spaces and a strong connection to the garden, with large openings across the rear bringing daylight into the plan. At the centre of the house, a double-height entrance creates a clear sense of arrival and allows light to move through the circulation spaces across multiple levels. Although the increase in area is significant, the external form is broken down and detailed to retain a recognisably domestic character.
